Silesian Exhibition of Breeding Cattle

We inform you that by decision of the Polish Federation of Cattle Breeders and Dairy Producers together with the Opole Cattle Breeders Association and the Silesian Cattle Breeders Association, this year’s Silesian Exhibition of Breeding Cattle has been canceled. The decision is dictated by concern for the safety of animals due to the threat associated with infectious diseases such as foot-and-mouth disease and bluetongue.

Exhibition welcomes more than 100 dairy and beef cattle from the Opole region, Silesia and Lower Silesia. During the exhibition a Superchampion of the Opolagra is selected, and the best cows may be purchased during the auction. Within the Cattle Exhibition, one can visit stands of all cattle breeders’ organizations. On Sunday, a picturesque Young Breeders competition takes place.

Cattle Breeding Silesia Exhibition is organized by the Polish Federation of Cattle Breeders and Dairy Producers Opole Branch under the direction of Teresa Kurowska, Regional Association of Cattle Breeders in Opole with president Mr Martin Ziaja and Silesian Association of Cattle Breeders and Dairy Farmers of president Mr. Zbigniew Chwastek. From the year 2012 Polish Association of Breeders and Beef Cattle Producers also become a partner, and introduced beef cattle to the show.
